Air Analysis

Radon In Air

What is Radon?

Radon is a naturally occuring radioactive and carcinogenic gas that forms from the radioactive decay of Uranium. It can make its way into your home by the ground, building materials, or groundwater. Typically, Radon is found in igneous rock and soil but can also be found in well water.

Why is testing for Radon in air important?

You cannot see, taste, or smell radon and therefore it is possible to be inhaling radon decay products without knowing. There are no immediate symptoms of Radon exposure and any signs of exposure may arise after years.

The EPA discusses studies that link Radon exposure to lung cancer in both smokers and non-smokers. Our Radon-in-air testing kits identify and quantify any Radon that may be present within your home.
